Tab gives you a daily calorie target, and any surplus or deficit rolls forward into a 7-day weekly budget. If you eat under your daily target one day, that extra rolls into the week — so you have a little more room later without starting from zero.
The weekly view is available on the Trends tab so you can see your running total at a glance.
When dynamic activity is on, Tab reads your resting energy from Apple Health for each day and uses that as the base for your calorie budget — instead of a fixed number calculated during onboarding.
This means your budget reflects what your body actually burned that day, not a generic estimate. You can enable it in Settings → Edit targets.
Tap the + button on the Today tab, then choose Scan Barcode or Photo. Barcode scanning works with most packaged foods. Photo recognition uses AI to identify what's on the plate and estimate nutrition.
Both features require a Tab Premium subscription or an active free trial.
Go to Settings → Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the App Store with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Yes. If you have Tab installed on your iPhone, the Watch app syncs your daily budget and logs automatically. You can also log quick entries directly from your wrist.
Tab uses iCloud to sync your data. Make sure you're signed in to iCloud on all devices and that iCloud Drive is enabled in Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud.
If sync is still not working, try force-quitting and relaunching the app. If the problem persists, please chat with us.
